About Us

Perched on a peaceful hilltop above the UNESCO listed town of Echternach, with stunning views over Echternach lake, the forests and valleys of the Mullerthal region, the Eden au Lac is truly a little paradise.

The Binsfeld family has been welcoming his guests to this timelessly elegant chalet style hotel since 1983 with warm traditional hospitality and personal, attentive service.

Perfectly placed for hikers on the Mullerthal long-distance trail, the Eden au Lac is also the ideal spot to relax, unwind and recharge your batteries, thanks to its spectacularly well-equipped spa, with a purpose-built wooden Finnish Tuli sauna, two hammams, an infrared cabin, indoor and outdoor pools and much more.

Delicious regional kitchen, a wide range of newly refurbished rooms, verdant outside spaces to enjoy ensure a stay at the Eden au Lac will leave you refreshed, revitalized and keen to return.

The Eden au Lac offers its guests a wide variety of room categories and styles from traditional to contemporary, to suit all tastes and requirements. The 63 rooms are equipped with flat screen TV, radio, minibar, safe, luggage rack and balcony. All guests enjoy complimentary parking.

The elegant, light-filled restaurant of the Eden au Lac is truly a room with a view, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the countryside and Echternach lake.

Our Chef serves refined classical kitchen with a creative touch: think Luxembourg beef fillet with truffled potatoes and wild mushrooms, or wild sea bass tartare with mango, ginger and lime.

In summer guests can eat on the beautiful terrace, with views over the historic town of Echternach, the lake and the surrounding forest. In the afternoon, the terrace is also the perfect place to enjoy drinks or ice cream.

In addition to the spectacular facilities of the wellness and fitness center, the Eden au Lac features a squash hall, a pool table and a ping-pong table and an outdoor swimming pool (open from July 1st to September 15th) with a magnificent view of the surrounding forest.

The historic town of Echternach is a pleasant stroll away from the hotel. Visit the remains of the largest Roman villa in the vicinity of the city of Trier, go around the beautiful lake or simply wander the medieval streets soaking up the atmosphere.

The Eden au Lac is perfectly placed for hikers undertaking some or all of the spectacular 112 km Mullerthal Trail, with several starting points accessible directly from the hotel. For day trips slightly further away, the Moselle winemaking region is a delight, with gently rolling hillsides full of vineyards whilst the Luxembourg Ardennes boast an impressive array of castles and landscapes of outstanding natural beauty.

Luxembourg City, with its UNESCO heritage fortified old town, is a half-hour drive away. The historic cities of Metz and Trier are less than 100km away, as are the Belgian Ardennes.
