It is with great pride and joy that I welcome you to the Hotel Eden au Lac. This hotel is much more than just a place to stay: it is the story of my family.


My parents founded Eden au Lac in 1982 with a clear vision: to offer their guests a peaceful, welcoming place close to nature. After finishing my studies, I joined the family business to continue this wonderful adventure. For over 30 years, we have been passionately committed to keeping this spirit alive.


Our family history in Echternach stretches back several centuries. Peter Binsfeld (1722-1804) was the first member of our family to settle in Echternach. His son, Nicolas Binsfeld (1748-1804), was the family's first hotelier: acting as Kaufmann (innkeeper), Gastwirt (guest), and Weinhändler (wine merchant), he laid the foundations of our tradition of hospitality. Much later, after the Second World War, my parents, Erna and Alphonse, opened their first hotel, L'Aigle Noir, with 27 rooms, located in Echternach's old town, before establishing Eden au Lac in 1982.


The Hotel Eden au Lac is a completely independent establishment, unaffiliated with any large chain. Each year, we meticulously maintain and renovate the hotel to guarantee comfort and quality, while preserving its authentic character. Its elegant and timeless 1980s décor, featuring fine materials and high-end furnishings, contributes to its unique charm and fully reflects our identity.


Today, the Hotel Eden au Lac welcomes you with 63 spacious rooms, all with a balcony overlooking the village or the surrounding nature, as well as a large outdoor terrace offering an exceptional panorama.
